Challenge

Our client is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) providing critical equipment for offshore installation and subsea operations within the energy sector.

The client had identified an element of their organisation as having a high-risk profile and wanted to ensure this was reviewed by an independent subject matter expert (SME) to identify, strengths, weaknesses, and any perceived gaps.

Approach

To ascertain the complete ‘As Is’ state and associated risk profile within the organisation, we formulated a framework that would review/audit the key critical elements.

The framework consisted of the following:

  • Management System and Governance
  • Facilities
  • Equipment
  • Training and Competency
  • Culture and Behaviour

Solution

The Telos representative provided an initial ‘off-site’ review of all associated governance/documentation and cross referenced those with the relevant international and OEM standards to ensure alignment.

Following the off-site review, an ‘on-site’ review was conducted, which included personnel interviews to confirm current practices, organisational culture & behaviours, identify compliance gaps, areas of weakness and non-conformance.

Outcome

The Telos representative provided the client with a thorough report highlighting compliance, strengths, areas of weakness, high risk priorities and gaps.

This enabled the client to produce an ‘improvement action plan’ to further strengthen this are of the business, further reduce the risk profile and close any gaps identified.
